The bar chart depicts the number of hours taught per teacher in a selection of four nations during
2001. The information is divided into three levels of schooling: elementary, junior and senior high
school. .
With respect to primary school teachers, the number of hours taught in Japan, Spain and Ireland
remained the same at around 600 hours whereby in USA, instructors taught approximately one and a
half times longer at 900 hours.
Regarding lower secondary education, educators in Japan and Spain equally taught 600 hours
whereby in Ireland, it reached 800 hours. Nevertheless, American teachers surpassed every other
nation by educating their students 1,050 hours.
In terms of upper secondary schooling, Japan posted the lowest statistic at nearly 650 hours, fllowed
by lrish teachers at slightly less than 800 hours. Spanish educators posted the third-highest number
at 1,000 hours and American instructors maintained the top spot at around 1,100 hours spent on
teaching.
Overall, Japan had the lowest number of teaching hours whereby USA eamed the highest quantity of
teaching done per year. Spain and Ireland shared fairly equal aggregate teaching hours in terms of all
hours of schooling.
