The column chart depicts the outcome to a study regarding the most appropriate solutions to tackle

global warming among the young citizens of four European nations, Portugal, Romania, Britain and

France. The nations form the horizontal axis, while the vertical is measured as a percentage. The

report considered the fol lowing criteria, lifestyle changes, government policy, advance in technology

and none of the above.

Overall, lifestyle changes' were rated as the foremost consideration to effect positive outcomes in all

the countries, whereas 'none of the above' reff ected the lowest evaluation.

The Portuguese recorded the highest reading for lifestyle changes' peaking at 60% which was closely

followed by Romania dipping to 55%。This was in stark difference to Britain and France recording

significant flls at 40 and 24% respectively; Britain being just two-thirds that of Portugal. For 'govern-

ment policy' and 'advance in technology', the figures were consistent among most countries at around

18 to 20%，however, Britain reported slightly higher numbers at 25 and 23% respectively. Further-

more, only a minority of the young people reported 'none of the above' which was approximately 3%

in most countries.
