1.科技的发展和进步体现在生活的方方面面，由于通讯科技（communication technology）的进步，曾经人们只能通过报纸、信件等联络，如今却可以借助手机电话即时通信，速度大大提高。生物科技、医疗技术（medical technology）也在不断发展，化学技术、网络技术等，都给人们的生活带来了翻天覆地（earthshaking）的变化。

2.科技给人们带来便利：机械可以代替人完成一些单调（monotonous）或危险的工作，人们从重体力劳动（heavy labor）中解放了出来，有了更多的空闲时间。信息技术的发展让人们的沟通更加高效，不管相隔多远，信息都能快速传递，非常便捷。医疗技术、农业生产等技术的进步更是大大提高了人们的生活质量。
