Before students make their first steps into colleges, they should choose a major,namely the subjects to learn in the future four years. There is always a debate about whether the government or students have the right to make the resolution. personally both sides have some benefits

From students’ side, if students have the chance to decide their own subjects, theywill be encouraged to pick up something most motivating. On the one hand they will

select courses by interests and personalities, which may ignite their learning desire. On the other hand, they could also learn from the subjects'selection such as making decision not only by interests but also by other factors such as future career.

From the government's side, it has a bigger viewpoint that the blueprint will be a more suitable one for the whole educational system. For one thing, if the government decides the subjects in college, they will make the decision objectively and macroscopically. This will guarantee that the subjects are not only suitable but

also systematic. For another thing, to accomplish this task, a lafge number of moneyand talents will be in demand for a certain period of time. only the govenunent canorganise such a huge project with high standard and quality.

All in all, the government should make a platform for specialists to make the fumeplanning for college students. At the same time, students also have the fight to choose
