Read the instructions carefully to understand the required number of words or numbers to be written as the answer.

Read the questions and circle the question word (e. g., who, what, when, where, why) to identify what kind of answer you need (e. g., a person, an object, a time, a place, areason).

Read the question and underline any key words which are important to catch during the listening stage. Make yourself aware of what the subject of the question is and get a general main idea of what the listening topic will be about. Note if the question uses anegative form.
